Designed for the person who wants to expand their knowledge of the flexographic printing process from ink delivery to platemaking and mounting. This course focuses more on "this is what it is" instead of "this is what it does" and is ideal for individuals in customer service, sales, and support groups such as maintenance.
Our Purpose is to improve communication between each department within the flexographic printing facility. Common terminology and an understanding of the processes and procedures will increase communication throughout the flexographic printing facility.
- Printing Processes - History of Printing, Flexo, Letterpress, Offset, Gravure, and Screen.
- Color and Color Measurement - What is Color, and Controlling it.
- Basic Flexo Terminology - Creating a Common Dialog
- Prepress - Evaluating Negatives, Photopolymer Plates, Mounting and Proofing
- The "Ink Train" - Better control of the metering system means improved quality and cost.
- Press Optimization
- Converting Operations
Enrollment is limited to 10 participants. Your fee includes all materials, one copy of Flexographic Image Reproduction Specifications & Tolerances, Third Addition (with CD-ROM) and daily lunches, snacks and beverages. The schedule for each day is 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
